Rep. Rachelle Smit expressed her disappointment today as she was forced to cancel her previously scheduled office hours happening Friday, Dec. 13. The cancelation comes after Democrats controlling the Legislature scheduled an extremely rare Friday session day.
“The time is running out for House Democrats as the sun sets on their time in majority. Michiganders have elected House Republicans to take back control of this body, leaving very little time for Democrats to ram through their liberal agenda,” Smit said. “After facing attendance issues all year, they need more time to get those things done. The people I represent are relying on me to represent their voices and defend their values, and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing tomorrow.”
Rep. Smit will hold office hours in January at a soon to be announced time and location.
