RELEASE|September 24, 2021

State Rep. Joe Bellino today announced he has secured funding in the state budget to help boost funding for two organizations that provide services for families in Monroe County.

The state budget for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1 was finalized by the Legislature this week. It includes secure a $150,000 grant for Holiday Camp in Monroe, a day camp for youth with disabilities and a $100,000 grant for the St. Joseph Center for Hope, a 24/7 crisis intervention center in Monroe that provides shelter and support for people with substance use disorders.

“The people of Monroe County are my priority, and I’m proud to bring this funding back home to help people in our community,” Bellino said. “These are two great organizations that provide wonderful services for our friends, families and neighbors.”

The new state budget received overwhelming bipartisan support. It now advances to the governor for her expected signature.
