State Rep. Cam Cavitt this week welcomed Miranda Roiter of Greenbush to the state Capitol in recognition of her recent rise to the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout. Roiter is a member of Scouts America Troop 7, of which she is now the first female Eagle Scout in both Alcona and Iosco counties.

“This milestone marks a defining achievement of dedication, perseverance, and character, qualities long admired by the people of this state as hallmarks of responsible citizenship and leadership,” said Cavitt, R-Cheboygan. “Through her years of service and leadership, she has inspired others with her determination and willingness to take on challenges.”

Roiter, the daughter of Mark and Carrie Roiter, is a senior at Alcona High School. She has completed numerous merit badges across diverse disciplines, attended the National Scout Jamboree, and served her community through volunteerism and leadership. For her Eagle Scout Service Project, Miranda constructed ADA-accessible benches for the Harrisville Harbor.
