State Rep. Joseph Fox (R-Fremont) led the Michigan House of Representatives in recognizing Holy Week this Wednesday. Holy Week is celebrated by Christians around the world and begins on Palm Sunday (April 13, 2025) and concludes on Easter (April 20, 2025).

“Today I humbly rise to commemorate Holy Week in the state of Michigan,” Fox said on the House Floor. “This week we remember the celebration of the Triumphal Entry, the institution of the Lord’s Supper, which grew from the roots of Hebrew Passover, the Agony of the Garden of Gethsemane, and the horror of the hill called Golgotha, and the anticipation of the Resurrection. In the midst of all that we recall during this week. My personal humility is trivial in the light of the intense illumination of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.”

Rep. Fox is a former Christian school teacher and principal, as well as an ordained pastor and missionary.
