Michigan students will now receive more information about their career and education options following high school, thanks to an effort led by Rep. David Martin, R-Davison.
On June 1, 2022, Martin’s legislation requiring the Michigan Department of Education to compile the information was signed into law by the governor, becoming Public Act 88 of 2022. Now, the resources are available to students and their families.
“My goal is to empower high-schoolers and their parents with the information students need to make smart choices about their future,” Martin said. “Whether they’re considering college or the trades, this information will provide students more clarity about education costs, job prospects, and other opportunities to serve their country or community.”
The information is already available by going to: https://pathfinder.mitalent.org/resources. Schools throughout Michigan will connect students to the comprehensive resource starting this coming school year.
