“Numerous thriving small businesses call Greater Rochester home, supporting jobs for local workers,” said Tisdel, R-Rochester Hills. “As state representative and vice chair of the small business committee, I’m looking out for our small businesses and workers, and I’m excited to listen to workers and business owners as I visit local establishments this fall.”

“Even with $1.8 billion in taxpayer support, Ford doesn’t know if this plant can be competitive in Michigan, and it doesn’t make sense to throw millions more taxpayer dollars at a stalled project. Another $65 million isn’t going to make up for the uncompetitive agenda Democrats are pushing to ban natural gas and raise energy prices, add a new tax on workers, and raise even more taxes next year to pay for their $82 billion budget.”

“Gov. Whitmer handed out $1.7 billion dollars for the Marshall project because she was embarrassed for losing out on other Ford plants, and then her allies smeared local citizens who disagreed with her,” Beeler said. “Now, with Democrats’ anti-business, anti-worker agenda coming down the pike, Ford is slamming on the brakes.”

State Rep. Jaime Greene on Friday presented a state tribute to Pankiewicz Cider Mill & Farm Market in Casco Township. The tribute recognizes the farm’s status as the top cider mill in WDIV’s “Vote 4 the Best” competition this year. “Steve and Theresa Pankiewicz have grown their family business into a popular destination that plays a special role in the lives of families throughout the Blue Water area,” Greene said. “Their cider mill serves as a cherished gathering place where many fond memories are created and yummy doughnuts are devoured. They’re well-deserving of this recognition.”
