“Gov. Whitmer handed out $1.7 billion dollars for the Marshall project because she was embarrassed for losing out on other Ford plants, and then her allies smeared local citizens who disagreed with her,” Beeler said. “Now, with Democrats’ anti-business, anti-worker agenda coming down the pike, Ford is slamming on the brakes.”
“I’m disappointed to see the Democrat majority wasting their time trying to squeeze every last nickel and dime out of Michiganders — just so they can waste the money on unsustainable programs and unnecessary projects,” Beeler said.
“Democrats are allowing for the most barbaric practices related to abortion, none of which the voters consented to in Proposal 3,” Beeler said. “Pro-life and pro-choice Michiganders support common-sense licensure, inspections, and reporting for abortion facilities, but this extreme legislation would eliminate these medical standards.”
“With her emphasis on wasteful spending and costly policies, the governor announced in no uncertain terms that Democrats will keep pushing for higher costs this fall,” said Beeler, R-Port Huron.
“This tax-hike-funded budget makes a mockery of Michigan taxpayers — demanding more of their incomes to pay for extravagant programs and projects benefiting Democrats’ partisan allies,” said Beeler, R-Port Huron. “With one-party control of the state, Democrats decided to balloon the size of our government to unsustainable proportions.”
“This irresponsibly bloated budget betrays the trust of Michigan taxpayers,” Beeler said. “Democrats are obliterating the rest of our $9 billion surplus, but instead of bolstering local police departments or fixing local roads, they’re starting new programs that our state can’t sustain in future years.”
State Rep. Andrew Beeler on Wednesday introduced a plan to encourage contributions to pregnancy resource centers, which support expecting mothers and families at no cost instead of referring for abortion.
State Rep. Andrew Beeler on Thursday opposed partisan legislation that would let the state government violate fundamental due process protections and confiscate weapons from law-abiding gun owners.
State Rep. Andrew Beeler, the assistant House Republican leader, on Thursday criticized new Democratic legislation to give union bosses more leverage over workers, fund union dues with tax credits, and allow unions to skirt campaign finance limits.
